| The Stanley family come from a long line of music. Their grandfather was a singer/songwriter/comedian. Their parents Mary and Jim Stanley were a huge musical and spiritual influence on them. Mary was a wonderful singer and lyricist who always had music playing and she and the girls sang constantly, while doing housework, riding in the car etc. Jim loved to write poetry, listen to classical music, play the piano and harmonica, sing a little, and could harmonize with them. James taught himself to play guitar and piano and taught Sandra and Pamala to sing harmony at an early age. Robin and Kristina picked up harmony by hearing it all of their lives. James started writing music in the 70's and Pamala in the 80's and they both grew as writers through the years. This cd is possible because of Diane Austin. After Mary passed away Diane wanted to do something in Mary's name and decided to contribute funds for a cd to honor her. By the time it was finished their father had also passed and so the cd became a tribute to both parents. This long awaited collaboration is the familys' dream come to fruition. God bless. |
